Nestled in the hills of Chester County, PA, in the heart of Glenmoore sits the Why Not Farm.  Our Farm is a four-generation run family operation, which began 70 years ago as a dairy farm.   As time passed, the farm transitioned from dairy to beef.  In 1999, Ray and Mary purchased their first Texas-Long Horn cows from a Ranch in Virginia, and quickly fell in low with the breed as well as the taste of the beef.  Ray and Mary continued to expand by introducing additional breeds to their herd, including Scottish Highland, Hereford and Angus cattle.  The cattle are all proudly grass-fed, hormone and antibiotic free, and free range, where they are able to grow and  develop naturally, creating a healthier, tastier choice of beef for our valued customers and their families.

Not only is our beef available for purchase in our farm store, but we have additionally partnered with Revival Pizza Pub and The Railroad Bar and Grille.  Both establishments, prepare our delish beef patties.  Hougar's Farm Store offers some of our beef cuts, beef jerky, and beef sticks.
